.. a new friend

I am sitting at my desk wearing a chirpy Merry Christmas t-shirt that does not reflect the innards of my brain in the slightest. I am feeling bored and uninspired and certainly not the Christmas cheer that so many are expressing through their facebook statuses.

I'm surrounded by presents, which i'm considering passing on to people i'm obligated to buy for but who can't be bothered going out and actually buying something. Recycling gifts is fantastic, someone out there has to love this little glass jewelery box or polka dot pouch.

So it's the end of yet another year and i'm celebrating by starting a blog. Who knows what my misspent time will lead to... possibly a deleted blog, possibly a new obsession. I'd like to be someone who can remain focussed on something for so long that I actually do it well. Must remember that entire journal I recently filled while travelling to the outback of Australia. If I can fill a whole journal, I can surely make a good effort continuing to add to this little blog.
